Prima Salvaje

A MUST VISIT! I am a very picky patisserie girl and by complete chance was walking by this bakery when I absolutely could not resist the smell. I stepped into the most charming bakery and the women working there were so lovely. Absolutely everything looked delicious - I cannot recommend the croissant and the lemon loaf cake enough (I went back twice just for the lemon cake). The best pastries I have ever had. The coffee was also so yummy - I ordered a latte.

Prima Salvaje should not be missed! I've passed the bakery multiple times on my commute to the gym and finally decided to pop in since I thought their branding was so cute. Wow! Everything here is made fresh from all organic ingredients and it tastes just as good as you can imagine! They also have a few vegan options including the best vegan chocolate cookie I've ever had! The cookie was so tender it could almost rival a brownie and even if you're not vegan you have to try it! In addition, the service here is lovely. Both of the women who work here, one is the owner and the other her friend, greet you with smiles and are so friendly. They're patient and take the time to explain everything. You can't go wrong here!

Would give a million stars if I could! We went to Prima Salvaje every single morning once we discovered it during our 12-day trip from Brooklyn. We stayed just around the corner (notably also around the corner from Origo), and after trying bread from both, we chose Prima Salvaje each time. Their sesame loaf — which was the special on the first day we visited — was perfection, and every bite we had thereafter was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend the semilla, campo, cinnamon roll, pistachio (and really also every other) croissant, hot cross bun around Easter, choco chip walnut cookie, and any espresso drink. So, so good — all of it. We just returned to NYC, where there is a lot of great bread, and still, we chose to fly back with three loaves (2 semilla and 1 campo!) bc we had raved about Prima Salvaje to our friends in Brooklyn. Congrats to Fernanda and her team for their impeccable, knockout creations! Also — such cute branding :)

Discovered a new favourite bakery through Too good to Go €3,99 and just going by the pictures, the great lamination, the combinations presented and vibe I was hooked. Even without trying it, I knew it was going to be a sexy bakery, where I would like to try every single pastry. While from the very begining I was positive about the bakery, I was hesitant to buy a too good to go box as I suspected (and was right) that it was mainly going to be bread products, because the best pastries would (rightly so) sell out during the day. What confused me though was the description mentioning baked goods and not just bread. Travelling solo, with only 3 other days in the city, I didn't really need big quantities of bread, and didn't want to have it go stale / bad on me as it would defeat the whole purpose of the app. I was given a baguette, a loaf of sourdough bread and a cheese and ham pastry. I shared the bread with the hostel kitchen, and both as is and toasted (with goat cheese and grapes) it is definitely a very good loaf of bread. The savoury pastry (with sweeter eggwash on the top - nice contrast) is not something I typically buy, but still was good. Two days later I managed to squeeze a quick visit before a guided tour and bought a Pistacchio Croissant €3,90. Very very good! So my suggestion would be to definitely try out this bakery :-)
